Good effort mate.I know it's not much compared to others on this thread but I ran my first ever sub-30:00 5km this week and honestly I'm over the moon. Started running in November and at first I couldn't do 2 kms, first 5km was at around 00:39. The aim now is 00:25.
The thing I find about runners, not just on here, is that they'll recognise each individual personal achievement based on the individual rather than against their standards. They all started somewhere.
I'll be owa the knocker if I do the half marathon in under two hours. Some on here will have finished, showered and had a couple of pints before I finish but they'll still be full of encouragement.
