You know what it is, I was thinking when I got to ten "there's some fucker missing here". Evidently Hastings was that fella. Not used to a decent overseas player obviously! No Hastings?

He was crap towards the end of last season imo. Even Muchall looked far better.Oh for Scotland?
Needs to deliver, hope he isn't on too much cash, as we haven't got a lot of it
Looking for pringle to kick on this season, he is nailed on for a canny bit cricket at present by default.
No need to play Stokes + 4 seamers imo (espcially when Colly & Keaton can turn their arm over). I'd go;
Stoneman
Jennings
Scotty
Richardson
Stokes
Collingwood*
Mustard+
Hastings
Pringle [by default]
Rushy
Onions
Good team imo, 6 or 7 top class county cricketers in there.
Id have loved to have seen us go for Rafiq from Yorks but que sera.....

That's the dilemma for Scott-England look on him as a leg spinner who can bat when he's really a No3 bat who can bowl. There's no England future for him as a leg spinner-they haven't had one in the last sixty years. To my mind he should concentrate on scoring so many runs for Durham at No3 that the selectors can't ignore him.I don't think Pringle gets in, Scotty will want to be the main spin bowler, and I imagine that's a deal breaker on him staying at the club, as it's his only way into the England squad
We may well do. Could be in something like the T20 or 50 overs games.Could we see the likes of Adam Hickey making the step up this year?
Yea, I probably concentrated on Jennings in my thoughts. He scored just shy of 700 runs at 28 last year, I'm sure he'll be looking to improve and if open openers are firing we should do well.Very much looking forward to the season. We've got a good squad, hopefully we can keep the bulk of the squad together and injury free. Thought some people were very harsh towards Jennings last year, he's a good lad and will do well for Durham. Wood, Arshad, Rushworth, Couglin, Chase, Onions, Hastings all very threatening at any level in this country. So much to look forward to. Personally I'd like to see Richardson as wicket keeper, but time will tell

It seems Ryan Pringle has just hit a club record of 215 for his Australian club Hampton. Assuming he gets a game for Durham next year I hope he keeps that beard .. W.C. Gr..... err.. PringleGraham Clark is probably the next young batter in line. Jack Burnham is very highly rated but not near 1st team as yet.MacLeod has had a disastrous winter which is worrying. I fancy Ryan Pringle to be the one to make the breakthrough.

Signing (or signed) for Shotley Bridge apparently as well

Find it strange that some of the players sign for clubs outside of the Premier League these days. I guess a lot depends on who will pay for them, and some now seem to fancy a 50 over bash rather than an all day game, but surely one of the points of the Prem was to allow fringe players to be playing the best club cricket possible. Not sure Alnmouth away is going to do him much good.
