Given how we seem to gauge good support on numbers it was interesting to see a league 1 side have a higher attendance for a league cup semi than we did.

Just because we support a club with a big following it doesn't make us any better than fans of hartlepool, Rochdale, Wigan etc.

Tbf I've never said we're any better than anyone else, you took it upon yourself to put us down.
I simply said the support we get is phenomenal, don't count yourself and your 4 games in that support .

Wether you have or haven't the amount of posts on here mocking the support of clubs like villa and Stoke indicate a percentage of our support do believe we are better.
I'm also pretty sure you have said that we are the best as well mind.

We have a big following but all this backslapping is pathetic given that nobody has a gun to anyone's head forcing them to go.
 
I'm having a night out in sunderland on Saturday.
Putting money into the coffers of our cities publicans thus playing my part in trying to put Sunderlands nightlife scene on the map.
Now given the nightlife in sunderland is dire I feel I should have praise heaped upon me for doing this as should anyone else who is doing the same. :rolleyes:

I'm supporting our city by putting money into it but I'm doing it by choice much as every fan who travels to watch sunderland on a weekly basis is.
Surely myself and the other revellers deserve the same plaudits as the fans of our football club?

Supporters are supporters. They have a choice. There is no special praise required for people who do something they CHOOSE to do.
