Anyone use this gym? Looking to move there once my current membership runs out. What's it like from about half 6 onwards on a night time mainly for weights? Cheers

Can't fault the place although I train elsewhere for weights, only use this place for cardio with our lass.
Weights area gets busy but not to the point where it's rammed like.
Sign up now mate as there's no admin fee and first month is free if Ya sign before Xmas eve!

Seen that deal mate but still got a few months left of my membership at the minute, just looking around now so I can try and sort something out before it comes round, thanks for the help though as long as you're not waiting around long for a bench etc but sounds good cheers.

I also train at Golden Leisure in high Barnes which is only £2 a session ( or £1.50 to me like) as I'm one of the old timers. This is a proper old school gym if it weights Ya after, Ive trained here for nearly 20 year .

signed upto the one in stockton tesco this time last year, it was decent at first but after 3-4 months it started to get absolutely packed in the weights area (between say 5pm-9pm). It's clearly only now used by groups of roidheads who have no respect for anyone but themselves.

Now signed upto Bannantynes at Darlo and for an extra (dare I say it) £45 a month it's by far the best gym I have ever stepped foot in. Never gets busy , even at peak times I'd say theres honestly never been more than 15 people in there. They even offer personal training plans and progress checks every 6 weeks to monitor you and see how your doing.

To cut a long story short, It will probably be decent for a few month untill it gets properly busy with it being a new gym, but if there is a Bannantynes in Sunderland then it's got to be worth a try.

Where exactly is it?

Really?

Cleveland Road in High Barnes.
If you don't know the area, come up Chester road and after you pass the Chesters pub, there's a left turn which is the bottom of Cleveland road. Follow the road up over the junction and its on your right hand side . The little sisters is at the top of the road if you know where that is
