Poyet moaning again

A few will be after Ings as he's out of contract in the summer and we could certainly do worse but he's far from proven. Probably worth a punt in the absence of good value real quality though.
I would be wary about going for him.

Agree. A pacey option up front would give us another option, as it's something we haven't got. Someone like Danny Ings, not him but someone similar who can run in beyond defenders. And stretch defences more
Got to be honest in that I don't really see all that much of what we need in Danny Ings. We basically need to find the closest facsimile of prime years Craig Bellamy that we can. I don't really see any obvious candidates in the PL so that means having our scouting done properly and throwing ourselves on the mercy of acclimatising a player quickly.

A Craig Bellamy/ David Speedie type would be exactly what I'd like to see but in the premier league they'd struggle to finish a game without a booking! Borini is about as close as you'd get- scores a few and never stops chasing.

I didn't say we should get Danny Ings. I just meant someone with pace upfront and he has so he was more of an example than out else.

I was always certain that we could do better than Borini for our £14m. He doesn't have that searing pace that Bellamy had for one. At the end of the day it's a very big world out there and I'm certain that, given the license, Congerton could have provided a player to do the job if Gus had lifted his eyes from Merseyside for a second. The PvA deal - one which I'm certain that Gus agreed to begrudgingly only due to the Alonso deal being too rich and too slow moving - shows that LC can provide the ability at a better price if given half the chance and a receptive audience. It's why, on top of this stuff being poorly timed in derby week, all of this "I'm just the coach" stuff is frankly a little hollow IMO.

2.5 million 3 m.o.t.m performances in juts a handful of starts more than adequate stand in for catts

2.5 million man give ya f***ing head a shake

Two of those teams were in the top 4 when we played them - in any event, we took 5 points from those games - a good return.

Can you tell the club where they are then, we need them.
We all know who they are one of em was given a 5yr contract last week , says it all.

Would like to think he will be a long term stand in but I don't think he will be. Not quite good enough IMO

On the counter attack all of our players offer nothing. We have zero pace. Therefore Gomez' ability to look after the ball in deeper areas is important - there is no-one to get on the end of a direct pass so keep hold of the f***ing thing and let the team move up the field.

Ahem!

Yesterday proved that Poyet was full of shit last week. We can create chances and look dangerous when we are a bit more positive and play with intensity. His job is to get us playing like that more often and not just settle for the easy point. He and the team can do it, they need to do it more often.

Watching the re-run of the goal, AJ had options to pass even when the 2 dirty mags were trying to hack him down. So there were quite a few runners even in the last minute. Kudos to Fletcher for making up a lot of ground, and Buckley started the move with the defensive header and was then at the other end of the pitch!

So we're not as turgid and shite as some people think.

Paraguayan mentality mate, prefer not to lose than to win on occasion.

True like, not sure whats going on with Rodwell, probs injured again.
You don't put injured players on the bench
