I have an old patience and time but fuck all of any of the other exotics (except monte carlo - don't fancy upgrading since it does no specific damage, just kinetic so hardly use it)

Worth buying the new patience and time, dismantling the old to get an extra exotic shard for next week? Hmm...

I've got old p + t but just going to wait and see if it ends up as an upgrade in coming weeks as I'm sure it will.

You have to trade in your original, plus an exotic shard (which are worth 7 strange coins alone) and 7000 glimmer for an upgrade. If you just buy the more powerful one, you spend the strange coins and can then dismantle the old one and get a couple of exotic shards back.

Get what your saying. I'd forgotten about the cost of the shards because I've already got 4 in the bank from dismantling and bought from previous weeks.
