No ashes test matches in 2019

I understand why Lord's gets a test match every year but why should it be the same for the Oval? It's no wonder Surrey can take the piss signing overseas superstars every year.

Simples - the London grounds sell out each day of test matches against lesser sides than the Aussies. It's got the biggest population, the ECB make the biggest revenue from the London grounds etc etc.

I think the ECB have done well in sharing the games around against the other test playing countries and especially the ODIs. But let's face it there are too many international quality grounds in England for the number of games that we have.

Should invite Pakistan to play at home here. They'd get bigger turnouts than in the UAE.

Yea and disappointingly, if memory serves me right the attendances at CLS aren't anything to write home about.

gutted. one of the best things I have done was the 4 days last year?

An Ashes series on top of a World Cup in 2019, are they f***ing stupid?!

Don't answer that, this is the ECB we're on about.
