A large percentage (up to 70% at last test) of supermarket chickens have been infected by Campylobacter, bacteria which is responsible for up to 280,000 cases of food poisoning and 100 deaths in the UK each year.
The highest rate of infected chickens was found in ASDA, with Tesco being amongst the lowest.
The bacteria is cooked out.

Apparently ASDA sells the 'dirtiest chicken,' with shit loads of it sold having some vile bacteria in it, and people think that the roasted chickens are fine (but they arent as a lot of them arent being cooked enough to get rid).

I could be talking out of my arse, but I'm sure the French have a slightly undercooked chicken dish. I think I read BBC article on a pregnant woman's issues on eating in restaurants. Our resident expert on all things Français, @monkeytassle, may know more.

I went to a restaurant once and they served me chicken with the colour and texture of Turkish Delight.
