If they progress they'll only be humiliated in the next stage. Is it possible they could draw Barca?
 
I have 96 candles ready to be lit in my bedroom and will be watching ITV with my hand on my heart for the full 90 minutes. Come on Liverpool!!

not sure you need to include 96 in that, the candle jibe is fair enough but saying 96 candles just makes it look like you're being sarcy about hillsborough
 
I don't mind British teams doing well, its the feckin commentators hyperbole I can't stand. Why can't they just relay what is happening on the pitch instead of all the peripheral shite. Martin Tyler and Clive Tyldesley are amongst the worst for it.

I'm so glad I work afternoon's through the week, means I miss all the cliche'd bollocks about Liverpool's champions league campaign.

They simply aren't good enough to win that trophy and it would only serve to drain their resources.
If they qualified for the Champions League ko stages they would almost certainly get knocked out immediately.
Last season was a fluke greatly assisted by the lack of European involvement and the sense of injustice fostered by the 10 game ban of Suarez. They also got knocked out of the domestic cups relatively early, 5th round FA Cup and 3rd round League Cup, meaning they only played 43 games last season.
 
Champions League nights at Anfield were special. Not sure how anyone can deny that. It's been ruined because their ground is over ran with tourists and asians who take selfie sticks to the match. Feel for the proper fans
 
It's cringeworthy. Their atmospheres are shite yet everyone sucks them off.
 
I was quite amused when Ludogerets equalized against them last night. Wish they went on to win it

you're right they were special - past tense - that's why I said in my OP not true nowadays - it's all the bollocks about how since Sky invented football in the early 90's how every Sunday is a Super Sunday - how Anfield nights are special nights etc - just tired lazy journalistic shite
Anfield has not been special since they introduced all -seating - killed what was a once atmospheric ground - also as you pointed out - pricing out the ordinary fan and replacing them with football tourists has not helped matters
