Mignolet

Never ever been a fan.

Always say it- He's the most overrated player i've ever seen for Sunderland. A bog standard run of the mill keeper.

Haven't seen tonight's goal but can't help but feel people are just picking faults now. Fraser Forster came charging out his goal and let Villa score on Monday but I haven't heard that mentioned since. Mignolet would have been eaten alive..

I know they're looking for anything since Gary Neville unfairly dug him out.

Mind the goal tonight

Kept us up by himself the season before he left

Myth.

Rated because he was good at saving 1 on 1's, the rest of his game was poor to average.

I got slaughtered for saying that the £9m was a good deal. Sunderland fans raved about him because he made some decent saves now and again. His kicking, commanding and positioning was poor.

He's not a bad keeper, but he's nothing more than okay.

His positioning was always really good. It's why he is so good 1 on 1 (which is why Liverpool signed him presumably). Can't argue about the kicking point and to be fair to him although he was like a statue from set plays we didn't concede that many.

We replaced him with worse anarl.

Some of it is, some of it isn't. Neville and Carragher blaming him for Jagielka's rocket, and Carragher going even further by deflecting the blame from Gerrard's slip on to Mignolet "doing better", was embarrassing to listen to. But then look at his kick at the weekend against Palace, booted it straight out and from that attack Palace scored.
Conceeding a throw in shouldn't make you at fault for the resulting goal man.

Aye he just kept riding his luck, time and time and time and time again

Tremendous reaction saves, it got to the point where i wasn't worried when a striker was one on one with him! Long shots, kicking and command of the area were all poor though, more than good enough for a team like us but not for a one wanting to challenge for the champion league.

He booted the ball out from a set piece under no pressure whatsoever giving possession to Palace, who went and scored from the following attack. The ball didn't even reach the half way line before it went out either. He wasn't wholly responsible but he has to take his share of the blame, goalkeeper or not you shouldn't just be booting it out giving the opposition possession that easily man.

It wasn't like at free kicks he was always too far over to one side. Also conceded a lot from corners in and around his 6 yard box.

One on ones he did well yeah ill give him that one.
