The lad I know competing at the GPA worlds has been fucked over on deadlifts. He deadlifted 280kg @ ~ 74kg & got failed for "putting the bar down too fast". Didn't drop it, didn't take his hands off or anything. Watch all the big heavies get away with the same shit.

Goal today is to work up to:

117.5kg x 2 (x 3)
95kg x max reps
72.5kg x max reps touch and go (hoping for 20+)

Got 22, which isn't amazing but happy with that.

This is the stuff that will drive me insane, I was looking at some results for a meet in England and the ref and the lad that won one of the classes had the same surname  not that you should judge people and I'm sure there isn't a great deal of judges about like

I got a £15 jobby from Clas Ohlson.
Any good? I'm after one that's easier than lying down to use and clean, if there's anything remotely effort based I'll not use it

To be fair, I've been judged by 2 people from my gym who I know/have trained with and it didn't change anything. Not saying it won't influence certain people mind. Turns out the lad I mentioned spoke to the side judged and they said he hitched it slightly, but the first judge definitely cited a made up rule.

Over 4,600kg of squat volume, followed by good mornings, heavy sled drags (killer) and a few other bits... fucked

Haven't managed to do much this week so far as injured my wrists at work over the weekend. Going to try and get a decent session in tomorrow as I'm a day off.

Any advice for a diet that I will lose weight on yet will give me plenty of energy? I work shifts to it's a nightmare as I am always on the go so depending what's happening I often won't get chance to sit down and eat a meal.

I'm 255lbs at the minute but want to get down to about 235ish. Hoping to lift 3 times a week but work can get in the way at times.

Anyone tried the Y shaped flys that B Pak shows the lad in this video?

Tried them today and you can really feel the squeeze more so than regular flys but I was a bit cautious at how much you feel it stretch into the shoulder too.

In the process of knocking up a canny little spreadsheet for monitoring weekly/monthly progress; canny useful. Getting a better hang of Excel.

Where he's bringing the dumbbells back into a Y shape overhead then bringing them together in the path of the muscle fibre instead of directly out to the side the way a pec deck would.

Sorry mate. I know.

I was pissed last night and insinuating that flys have no place on the powerlifting thread in a snarky way.

I apologise

180kg deadlifts for max reps tomorrow. Fuck. Anything on squats/deads for max reps is painful.
