Ready for Saturday though probably from the bench.

Giaccherini wont be fit until at least the week after.

A lovely thought, but I just cannot believe that Gus will pick a team including both Alvarez and Giac from the start. He's too obsessed with stopping the opposition playing to do that

I do agree with you and I don't think Gus will do it. Personally I would play Giac and Alvarez on the wings because Johnson and Buckley work better as impact players coming from the bench imo. Plus Wickham is wasted on the left so it woul db enice to have some proper creativity on both wings.

Get Johnson and Alvarez on the wings. Giaccherini behind Fletcher. Job done.

That's not going to happen though really is it? Ill put my life on him persisting with Wickham on the left whilst rotating Buckley and Johnson whilst keeping 2 defensive midfielders + Gomez.

Cattermole and Bridcutt holding the fort.

It's too attacking for Gus though.

Hairy defensively but the prospect of that attack is quite exciting. However, I don't think that Gus would take such a big gamble with the starting eleven, instead he'll settle with bringing Giaccherini and Alvarez on against tired defenders, Giaccherini for Larsson and Alvarez for Wickham. He'll probably want to play Rodwell instead of Bridcutt as well.

Am I missing something I thought we were playing the best team by miles in the PL, Chelski this week?! Not the week for experimenting with attacking formations, we'll get pummelled as they'll have way more of the ball than us. Yes we do need to give more going forwards, especially in home games against supposedly poorer sides, but not this week, getting beat 4 or 5 nil at SOL will not help us in the long run at all.
