I think that it may well have something to do with new singers/groups (in particular) wanting to attract a young audience and realise that those with no experience of life are more likely to want to hear left wing views.
That, of course, changes as their audiences join the real world and then the politics formerly spouted seem (for some reason) to become conspicuous in their absence.

Or who thinks that all political options exist somewhere along a single peice of rope, and that you can simply choose a position somewhere along it which then completely defines how you (or how you should) 'think'.

These celebrities think it's fine to be minted, living in tax-exiled mansions, but if you got that kind of money through other methods, then you are morally inferior. Even if some people in the real world don't deserve their money, their are just as many Jordans or reality tele wankers worth a bomb for doing nothing.
