Reminds me of MONs last few weeks in charge.

That's too close to the truth.

Writing will be firmly on the wall after Monday at Palace. We never do well there

If as expected the result and just as importantly the performance is poor, GP will probably be dead-man-walking

Aye,and around and around we go.

Exactly, there was someone on here the other day insisting we would have stayed up if MON had stayed. He was wrong IMO.

It wasnt me yesterday but i dont think we would have been. It was hardly a miracle performed by Di Canio to keep us up. More the manner of the derby followed by the Everton game made everyone believe it was better than what it was imo.

Of course we'll never know, but at the time under MON the defensive football we were playing its unlikely we'd have gone to Newcastle and won 3-0 and followed that by beating Everton.

Im looking at the Southampton and Stoke games at home we fluffed. I also dont think the Mags would have beat us nor Villa away (or at least in the manner they did).

Dont get me wrong though, im glad Di Canio came in and kept us up, im very grateful for that but i just dont think it was as good as he made out. The football under O'Neill was dire mind, very draining.

Di Canio was good value for his passion and enthusiasm, but as you say his time here wasn't as good as he would have you believe.
Whether we'd have stayed up without him we'll never know.

Exactly, thats the top and bottom of it really.

How would you describe Gus' footballing principles? He forsook them some time ago. I liked what he was about last season, even when the going got tough. This season he has been ultra cautious, and his team have been abject and fear driven. He looks at his squad and in seeing they are significantly inferior to that which was available to him last term, he seems to have thrown in the towel. Or the players have. Or both. Not that it really matters. :)
Hes been fkd by short and congerton man, that last window was embarrassing

It's to easy to blame short etc, however short doesn't pick the team, coach or pick the tactics for games thats poyets job
