Winger
I'm on this, in an attempt to improve my health (another story)
Anyways, lets have your experiences of it. I'm 200 cals down of 500, and I'm fuckin clamming

I'm feeling mighty fine like, was hard at 930 watching the lads munch bacon and egg rolls though

Doesn't sound healthy like only having 500 calories a day.
We all naturally produce a growth hormone called IGF-1 and while it’s great at keeping the body on the go, in later life it can also speed up the ageing process and the onset of age-related diseases. When we fast, IGF-1 production is inhibited, and our bodies

If you are craving food then try some noodles with an oxo cube or other such item and water. You can buy the very fine noodles that quickly soften ready to eat. I've forgotten the brand but you can get them in Asda in packs of two or four. It's more substantial than a glass of water and it makes you think that you've had a meal without eating a load of calories. You chuck a few spring onions and finely chopped veg in as well to beef it up a bit.

Fasting is an incredibly healthy thing to do, the idea on the 5:2 is 5 days "normal" eating then 2 days fasting. Never done it but

Tin of soup will kill your hunger pangs stone dead with very few calories

Well, today I have ate-
200 cal of bran with milk
an apple (70 cal)
and I will be eating 2 hard boiled eggs (140 cal) and a bread roll (110 cal)
This morning was tough, fuckin starving. This afternoon was unreal, I have had boundless energy akin to taking speed. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's breakfast, it will be epic

When I broke my ankle last year and couldnt obviously run and decided to slash my calories to ensure i didnt put any weight on......Lived on 1200 calories a day for 6 weeks and with absolutely no exercise at all I shed 24lbs.....I felt fantastic and after 9 months of injury I ran an 85 minute half marathon pb in my first race back. It is amazing how good we can feel by NOT eating and it is amazing how fantastic your average person can look when they get the thick layer of shite off us that most us carry. It is only when you get lean that you realise how fat you actually were lol

Done it yesterday, went to bed f***ing starving but managed 500 cals all day. Today's breakfast has been 150g of bran with milk, then poached eggs, beans and pancakes

On it again today, feel canny like. Belly's rumbling n that, but feel quite good so far

How hard is this mate? I've done my knee playing football and I've got to get surgery on my knee next month, and I can't crack any Phys for a while so I don't want to put on any weight. Is it worth trying?

Are you actually after the health benefits of a fast? Or just trying to lose weight?
Doesn't sound very appealing to me, much rather just knock a few calories off a day than be hungry all day.

I'm right into it now. The first shift was a grueller, I was light- headed and felt fucked. But now I know what to expect, it's a doddle. Drink loads of water during the day, I didn't realise the amount of water you take that comes from your food. Fizzy water is good also. But all in all, it's simple. I found that I was freezing due to the lack of calories, as soon as I finished work I had a hot shower, a cup of black tea and jumped into bed
