Finally got a decent game going on FM14 for the second time this year, just gonna wait till the full game comes out so it's not arl buggy.

£22 on CDKeys now for anyone who wants to pre-order.
 
First 4 games:

Sunderland 3-1 Leicester
Swindon 1-2 Sunderland (Cup)
Sunderland 2-3 Southampton
Man City 4-1 Sunderland

Been a lot of goals so far, defence for Sunderland is terrible, turned budgets off for first transfer window.

Red Bull Liezpig this year is any FM player's wet dream.

£5 million budget and £170k wage budget in the German 2nd division. You're welcome ;)
 
Adam Johnson is op.

Bought Borini & Alonso after first season for 5.6M and a few others and look set to be In europe as Im 5th after 28 games.

Bit bizarre how well my team is doing if im honest. Seen very little difference in the game but thats fine as its good enough.
 
Im 7th after 23 games with a very young squad in the first season. Best thing to do is just tear the whole team apart and try to start again. Johnson was upset with the sale of Fletcher and his performances were poor so i bombed him out in January.

Looking at the transfers i think i have pulled off some great deals, to improve the squad while having a positive net spend is great and the squad is full of potential now. We started well and we currently sit 7th on 35 points. The only sale i was in 2 minds about was Giaccherini; he was fantastic scoring 10 goals in 17 games but i had the chance to sign Zivkovic who will be a far better player and he was the only saleable asset. I havent had the chance to play Ings yet but i think i got a fantastic deal as he was in the last 6 months of his deal. Ive also managed to agree 3 bosman deals to sign in the summer; Adrien Rabiot, Denis Praet and Patric (Barca B).
Advice for anybody starting as Sunderland:
-Consider everybody for sale, you can get decent fees for mediocre players if you offer them out on the first day
-Buy young talent
-Ask to increase percentage of sales on first day
-Sign Dele Alli (Great talent and performs straight away)

Gerrin finally Peruzzi has arrived.

Might start again and try it this way. Not having much fun trying to play with our actual squad.
 
I prefer playing at least one with the actual squad. I found the first season far easiar than imagined.

Johnson and Wickham are plenty over powered.

I always start with Sunderland but it gets boring after a while...never have any money to spend and no one wants to come to us :lol: (sounds like real life)

Had a cracking game with Everton on last years.

Played as Everton last year too, struggled after Lukaku went back and I couldn't persuade Chelsea to give me him :lol:
