Winter Player Club Moves For 2015

Now that promotion and relegation has been sorted out it will be an interesting season ahead. Expecting a load of in's and out's across most clubs
And if that does happen one would have to debate whether the pyramid structure is a positive thing for local cricket . A cricket club is just that "a club" and it's nice to see the continuity in people playing in one place for many years, fetching bairns up on the boundary and knowing everyone . Some clubs could be ruined socially by large exodus and changing personel yearly .
We have all seen how too many mercenaries ( or pot hunters ) leave clubs in thier aftermath .
Just a thought and I accept for many that playing at the best standard is most important but then again they have always been free to come and go without the added impetus of the pyramid

Felling certainly splashing the cash. Have signed Liam Simpson from Chester after signing Stu Walker.

That cash they raked in from the anti-Sunderland day going to good use on 2 SAFC fans then.

Re Felling, Correct me if Im wrong but didnt the cricket club get control over the bar (and presumably the takings) about a year ago.

I assuming they must be making it work for them to afford these signings. That or they've found asugar daddy

Felling seem to be determined to do well next season, maybe after promotion ?
With all of these signings, I wonder if the rumour is true, that their best player, for a number of years, has left the club ?

Really? Wow. Wonder how that went down at CLS CC.

If Chris young gets hold of lenny he will come on leaps and bounds . He should have played better standard years ago really

When the ball is swinging he is a cracking bowler, very aggressive and always bowling at the stumps leaving little margin for error for the batsman.

His problem is when the ball doesn't swing as he is very much medium pace and keeps bowling that full length hoping it will swing and ends up becoming very hittable.

I think the top division of the NEPL should take note.
Seems to be a trend that top local players are leaving the league to play "afternoon" cricket for the same, or more, money.
Just recently, Karl Turner, Stewy Walker and Liam Simpson. Also players like Ian Pattison stating he does not want to play "all day cricket".

So will Felling be favourites for promotion or is it more likely to be the usual contenders - Sacriston, Burnmoor etc.
