Hey just wondering what's best for dropping weight fast:
Recently been mixing things up in gym between lifting and cardio; any advice on what's best to shift weight fast ( other than not stuffing your fat face) would be appreciated :)

Weight training should be the focus of your programme if you're concerned with body composition. Cardio added on top of that for the extra caloric burn and other health benefits that come with it.

What Titus said, and have a serious look at what calories you're eating and your weight loss over time. You might not need to be as radical in cutting back as you think. No point punishing yourself with a diet you can't stick to long term, it'll just lead to piling it back on.

Both.

Yeah true: usually when I'm too hard on myself diet wise I'll get to a point and think 'aww I can't hack this' and end up having a binge day!

Thanks for the advice :)

Research flexible dieting. Some morons eat literally whatever to hit their protein/carbs/fat, but if you apply common sense and eat a variety of fibrous, micronutrient dense foods you can have 'cheat foods' every day. I eat ice cream every day for example along with stuff like white bread, but it's all about moderation

I hammered the cardio and did small sessions of weights to lose about 2 clem

Now im just doing the weights and the weight is still dropping off nicely

What's wrong with eating white bread like mate? It's lower in calorie than brown.

Dunno really tbh, just one of them foods I always thought u had to stay away from along with pasta etc : I need to educate myself more on nutrition I think especially with all the hours I'm putting into training

Pasta is ok (I think) if you don't go mad

Slow releasing energy isn't it, helps me anyway when I go to the gym

I think you do n'arl mate. On the plus side, i reckon your post has got Titus proper seething like.

Generally, there's no difference whatsoever, as a lot of brown breads you buy now are just white bread plus food dye. White flour however is more refined, and as such increases the chances of getting fat iirc.

I eat bread that doesn't have cheap shit in it like soya..........so no Kingsmill, Hovis or any of the big brands who have your eyes out while feeding you shite

Generally speaking, there's not really any food that you need to avoid. White bread doesn't have as much fibre or micronutrients as brown bread for example, but it's not going to ruin your diet or anything like that unless it causes you to binge.

Have a look at websites like the above for science based nutrition info and as a general rule, people telling you that a certain food is bad or that you should completely exclude it are full of shit.
