been hit on the foot there and then in the face the next - played a lot of my cricket there from junior up to third team. Suffered as much as other teams have in not having people to spend the time working on the wickets.

The 'changing rooms' were the worst in the league too , looked like a Romanian orphanage . Some canny lads though

Played there all my life, apart from last few seasons! Been some canny local cricketers played there in my time! Spent a few quid the last few year on facilities but unfortunately the team and junior set-up got forgot about which i believe they're trying to rectify with a fundraiser trying to get them up and running again! Politics eh!

That turned out to be a leak in a nearby street, club had to put a drain in as Northumbria water wouldn't sort it!

Good luck to them. Remember my da playing there when they won the coast league in the early 90's.
