Will we ever not be in a relegation battle?

What will it take for us to progress to a 45-55 point team who are safe by the end of march?

In my opinion it seems we never actually learn from previous mistakes...for example any of us can tell that we needed more pace, strength and a 12-15 goal a season striker to be added in the summer.

The last 2-3 seasons have been horrible, spending more time relying on other teams getting beat to keep us up.

Its getting harder to stay up like, even shitters like Stoke, Swansea and Southampton have better teams than us. Maybes we're just shit. I thinks we enjoy a good promotion run better

Excellent point mate.
Plus, I think we have a weaker squad this season compared to last - worrying.

I think so, I know we beat them but player for player they are better

as in no fight down by Christmas or we'll be safe by Christmas?
player for player I think jones or vergini are better than bardo oshea miles better than Wilson aj and cats are better than there midfield etc

When you look at the team sheet and the majority of players have played for us for several years and we only change 2-3 players every season then we will be an established Prem Club.

I have no idea about whether im right or not and cant be fucked to check but id imagine a lot of clubs are still worried about relegation at the end of march (probably from about 12th downwards. That being said it would be nice to have a random good league season like other teams seem to have from time to time. To really progress, bar doing great and slightly lucky transfer business on a shoestring, we'd need another hundred odd million net spent which short wont do so we'll be waiting a while!

Most of the clubs in the bottom half of the table are in danger of relegation until at least February/March. Look at last season when we spent virtually the entire season in the bottom three onky to finish 14th.
We will only be considered as a safely established premier league club when we regularly finish in the top half of the table - and we look a million miles away from that at present.
