Where do you patrol to level up past 20?
I just did patrol on wherever there is a bounty, doesn't matter on the level of enemies as gear still drops for your level

Was worth it for the legendary sniper rifle though.

I do think the best way to get gear and level up is to go the earn max vanguard and crucible marks while getting Vanguard and whichever factions gear suits you to level 2 then do the Strike playlists, getting way more gear via the strikes than any other pvp or pve time wise. Although think I am suffering by not having any decent weapons but that will be sorted this week once I get level 3 Vanguard.
Also http://destinytracker.com/ if you want to see how (badly in my case) you rank across the board. Only things I am decent on is suicides (top 18%) and assists (33%) oh and most deaths.

Last man standing, no respawns if we all died we would've had to do it all again. Let that sink in for a min.

you must have dreamt it. I think it's outrageous how you got that sniper rifle That's exactly what happened. Well it was the spirit bloom but you know.
Take us lot a week to do it.

During a Strike, if it's balls-out mayhem and You're Last Guardian Standing, it's sometimes best to just to leg it and keep yourself kosher until they both respawn, otherwise it's game over and restart for the lot of you if you get tanked by a wizard while you're trying to revive Numpty McHoolahan for the umpteenth time.
