Alcohol breath tests to get into pubs

It's against the law to serve s drunk person in a pub.

Will never work!

Given the choice of queuing up to be breathalised BEFORE GOING INTO A PUB, or going to another pub, I will go to another pub.

Excellent idea. If the law already empowers bar staff (who, let's face it, aren't usually moonlighting theoretical physicists) to pass judgement on innocent punters, then let them prove it.

Habeas corpus, innocent until proven otherwise, and all that.

Favourite trick of mine from when I used to work behind a bar, was to purposely refuse to serve someone who was tipsy but not pissed to get a reaction.

Usually resulted in them kicking off and getting kicked out.

Proper cùnt me.

Are you prepared to swear that?

Saw them in a few pubs in Australia a while back. The idea being reduce drink driving, not to stop serving drunk people.
