I've had that from overworn shoes before.
I'll not have done much more than 200 miles in them.
I'll stick another pair on tomorrow and see how I get on.

Tried my old Asics today. Foot's not swollen but now have a blister and I hardly ever get them.
Went a bit further than I intended this morning so not all bad.

Good few days. Twenty miles on Friday. At lords to watch Durham win yesterday. 26 miles done today. Took me 3:15, which was faster than I expected and I found someone to run the last 10k with and covered it in 41 minutes. Surprised myself with that too!

18 miles done yesterday felt a lot better than last weekends similar run and was a consistent 9.50ish all the way round am aiming to look to do the marathon at 9.00ish pace all being well. Small cutback this week as the countdown to York starts although still doing "just" a 16 miler on Sunday.

So are your other shoes definitely the right type for your gait then?

Pyramid Training tomorrow night at the Strollers, is that hard?
My favourite bit of interval training that. . we run it as 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, 4 min, 5 min, then 4 min, 3 min . . etc. (or 400m, 800m etc if on track). I like it cos it's varied, hate doing 16x400m for example. . .And all training's hard, neen of its nice :) Enjoy

Absolute stinker of a 3 miler this morning. Woke up with a rotten sore throat & earache but thought I'd give it a go anyway.. was sweating by the end of the street, legs felt like ton weights (mainly from leg day at the gym yesterday) and my breathing was all over the place because my nose was stuffed up and my throat was dry.

Oh well.

Strollers fast pack session, pyramid 1 min, 2, 4, 8, 4, 2, 1 with recovery in between. Felt strong and fast, was at the front of each effort.
