Well done Chris Rushworth

Just found out about Chris Rushworth's incredible bowling v Northants. What an effort. Great to see another Sunderland lad doing well for Durham.

Seems he has been off the beer for 9 months according to the article below. Looks to be working well for him.

Yep great performance. Please for a lad who is usually under the radar of the national (London) cricketing press.

Not sure I like the claimed link between abstinence and better performance at work mind.

Would never have worked for us would it lads? Can you imagine Phil, Len or Teach going dry before a game?

Are you still ok for Southampton @air asia ? No news on a boozer yet, but Harringey Frankie is back from Ireland to guide us about.

I equate it to car engines, some run better on diesel, others need high octane fuel. Those chaps mentioned above and @is BobBob lost are definitely in the second category.

Yes still on for Southampton. Can't wait just hope it is better than my last match - Norwich at home just before MON was sacked. Will be heading home on the Sunday night now so no panic to get back to the airport.

Me. My original flight was 9pm from Heathrow on the Saturday.

Now I can meander back taking in my pick of the cultural highlights to be found within the Hampshire-London corridor. What about you? Still on for a Friday night out in Kingston?

Great lad, and very much an underrated cricketer. Has been amongst the best in County cricket for the last 3 seasons.

Also raising money for a great cause too: https://www.justgiving.com/Chris-Rushworth2/

Yes mate he played quite abit for us (hylton). Last played 2007. Before going back into premier league for Sunderland.

So what was the total time elapsed between his first and fifteenth wickets? There must be some record he can have. Has there been a better spell than 15 in 18 overs?

Off the top of me head (someone may have it more accurately) from anout midday to 3:30, less 40 mins for lunch plus an inning break. An incredibly short amount of time.
