If you look carefully it's stopped spinning before he closes the chamber so he can probably see where it's ended up.
Actually looking again he actually stops it with his finger just as the camera briefly pans away then looks at it as he closes so he knows where it is.

Did you watch it? I'm on my phone and even on a small screen it's visible that he stopped it and can check the position of the bullet as he slides it in.
I'm pretty sure you usually see them spinning with the chamber closed not open. But either way he can see where the bullet is.
