Lens repair

Had a bit of an accident with my 24-70 lens last week and it can zoom out but I can`t zoom back in again without manually pushing the lens in. Seems well knacked.

Can anyone suggest a good place to get it repaired?
 


what make? I broke a sigma - the mount snapped off on my camera, cost £90 to get Sigma to repair it. Was a standard price as far as I can remember.
 
I got one done at AJ Johnston in Glasgow. Expensive (£200 for a £500 lens) and poor communication. Fixed it though.
 
Apologies for reviving an old thread. Just dropped my Tamron 24-70mm and done a bit of testing on it and it's looking like I've knocked one of the plates off inside because it's seeing double in the top left hand corner. Did anyone go ahead with any of these guys mentioned and recommend them?

In fact. I'm in two minds as to whether it's actually faulty or not. At f2.8, the out-of-focus corners are seeing double a bit. It's noticeable when it's text, for example. I'm not sure whether that's normal or not!

I didn't go with the ones mentioned as I ran out of time to get it fixed. Went to the place at the green in newcastle but that was only to clean it

Bump.

Dropped my Samyang 24 in Derwent Reservoir last Friday, its now full of mucky water. Going to give them a try!

Dave Boyle doesn't fix Samyang...

They cleaned mine but it still had a mark on the glass left on it after I got it back.

Why does boylie not like em? Too difficult to put back together?
