Coming off for light ...

Nee way was that LBW.
If he hadn't given it they'd have stayed on. The craic was obviously to go for runs from the off to try and get a result in three days. It's now as gloomy as yesterday .....

I bow to youth - but only because I can' true member that conversation at Lords .... Help!

i remember everyone bitching that they announced malan getting 1,000 cc runs for the year but not borthwick but someone [probably you] looked it up and borthwick had 1,000 runs but not in all in cc and it went from there.

btw is colly still leading run scorer for durham, does anyone know?

well this should be a good chance to go for a prolonged spell without losing a wicket.

Upon seeing the wicket and the following bad light I thought that may have been the case - Rocky must feel hard done by mind because it's the umpires admitting they were wrong to be on when he was given out.

Thought they would have played Coughlin and given him the chance to bat at no8, looking to the future and the ways he shapes up with the bat could be a very usefull bowling all rounder especially with Hastings not playing.

aye, it does seem a bit harsh on him and suddenly bringin in aaron seems slightly pointless what with him not being available for the final, but then who could have predicted chase doing so well from debut, and it would mean chase or coughlin taking the new ball... can't hurt to ease chase and coughlin into the first team rather than dropping them in the deep end...

Fifty up and I think that's Scotty on 1,000 runs. No announcement though!

marty has mentioned it

Sorry left handed bat so deep fine leg not third man

We're gonna be the only team to fail to whip the whipping boys aren't we?

Just as it's being discussed on comms, what will our team be on saturday?

Semi Final
Stoneman
Mustard
MacLeod
Jennings
Stokes
Collingwood
Hastings
Muchall
Breese
Borthwick
Rushworth

So as Aaron and Chase haven't played in the competition surely coughlin will be the change for the Duke?

Northants have won the toss and will bowl.

Stoneman, Jennings, Borthwick, Richardson†, Stokes, Collingwood*, MacLeod, Muchall, Aaron, Rushworth, Chase.

Any predictions?? Reckon we'll lose a wicket before 11am. Probably Jennings.
On this very point, I confess I do not know the stats, but we must have the worst opening partnership in the division.
There is always an early wicket, be it Jennings or Stoneman. Both players have good records as individuals but as a pair they are poor.
Borthwick must sit with gloves and helmet on as soon as innings starts !
The sad thing is that there are no other opening batters in the club pushing for a place.

Not a bad score actually. The deck has a noticeable tinge of green to it. Think we can score at least 280 on this & bowl them out for under 200 in both their innings.

I'd push Muchall into Dukes spot and slide Aaron into Muchalls place. Is have Chase ready to step in incase though.

Definitely a bowlers wicket like. Though runs to be had as there's plenty of bad balls .... Don't think our bowlers will be as wayward.

Aaron and Chase haven't played in the competition they cannit play in the Final. Coughlin is the only bowler we have fit who can come in.

Scotty 50 up 122/4 off 29.3 so scoring at a great rate even though it seems a bowler friendly day.

Seems an odd rule. Fair enough stopping a county shipping in world beaters just for a final, but ruling out a young lad from the academy?
