Trivialising it does not make me feel any better. Keep in mind the world cup is the goal...whether we like it or not its as big deal to the crticketing world. This is supposed to be part of our "preparation".

That's quite an astute statement coming from a mag. He's actually gone up in my estimation ....
Unfortunately Owen looks a shadow of his former self but I agree Cook has got to go. There's fuck all to play for so he should be dropped for the last ODI and bring Bell back to open.
Roy should be in the next squad, as should James Taylor. If Morgan can't regain some form we have to be brave and make either Broad or Taylor captain! Looks like we might have to bring Ravi or Luke Wright back to give us some experience and bowling back up anarl

Good question. The experts on Sky cant even seem to agree.....
Cook doesn't deserve to be in the side based on runs scored, strike rate or for his ability as a captain so that's where we should start IMO.
Our batting bar Ali was awful. Root didn't bowl a ball today while Woakes was going for 10 an over. OK it didn't matter today but Cook's decision making is f***ing awful.

The way we are performing in these games is comical to say the least.
Why send Buttler in at six making it two right handers at the crease? Should have been Ali in to disrupt their tactics with a right left combo.
In the years I was a first team skipper I would do anything to annoy fuck out of the opposition. That right/ left combo was always top of the list.
