cheers magic been a member at gym ages but don't even go once every other week need to get motivated for
Their definition of northeast include yorks and South Scotland but you can weed out local ones . . .Coxhoe trail on 14th sept is prob my next one. Best of luckcheers magic been a member at gym ages but don't even go once every other week need to get motivated for
yeh pretty limited to sunderland and Newcastle with not driving as wellTheir definition of northeast include yorks and South Scotland but you can weed out local ones . . .Coxhoe trail on 14th sept is prob my next one. Best of luck
Don't think there's too much locally coming up soon. Town moor 10k in November is a good one, bit way off yet. Half marathons in Redcar and haltwhistle at end of September are decent. . and both doable by trainyeh pretty limited to sunderland and Newcastle with not driving as well
Worth entering that one then, it's flat - two laps of the town moor. Quite a popular race. only problem is we play Everton at home same day at half one, race is at 11November would be good im so unfit would be able work towards it well
If you want to ease your way into running try the park runs, they're free, friendly and well run. Think a few on here do the sunderland oneI better be fast then haha tbh I need to get to my gym at least once a week get into some sort of routine then take things from there
I need to do core week as apparently I have a weak core and it will help prevent injury (I get groin and lower ab injuries quite often) and allow me to imptove my times. Poor excuse but I just do not get the time to fit it in!20mins last night on grass, nowt I know, but its a gradual start... do same again in a few days time.
wanted to ask - many runners on here do much work on there core and abs ? just started to do the plank every day and trying to remember to do some sit ups, always neglected stuff like this in past
join a club mate ? strollers or harriers ?November would be good im so unfit would be able work towards it well
its something ive always neglected and want to put right , that and stretching moreI need to do core week as apparently I have a weak core and it will help prevent injury (I get groin and lower ab injuries quite often) and allow me to imptove my times. I was never in a club mate , but would have been a better runner if was, two family members are and have watched them, it opens your mind to different types of training - forget about heart rate monitors.... , you will def become a better runner if train with others and have a good coach, especially if they are better runners than youWhats the benefits of joining a club? Know there's generally £2 saving booking a race, I dont really have any interest in joining any weekly training runs as want to stick to heart rate and a miserable loner anyway.
I don't do it for a pb mate, just trying to make it a daily routine of 3mins plank, and some sit ups alsoyou mentioned core work and stretching, both of which i have to do plenty of to ward off tight hamstrings.
what's your PB doing the plank then?
