For those of you who signed up when it first opened 12 months ago on the £9.99 a month offer... Pure Gym have just emailed me to say they are not increasing the price to the usual £17.99 as planned, but only increasing it to £13.99 for life!

Pretty good in my opinion. I was actually considering cancelling it as I don't use it that often at the minute as I get out on the bike a lot but that will change as winter approaches.

Just cancelled my membership there. I'm already a member of another gym, but joined up so I could squeeze more training in around work before my holiday with it being open 24/7 and cheap. Likewise, I'm doing alot on the bike, and have already started setting up my old wheels/turbo/rollers and writing a plan for winter miles. Just going to stick with my old gym for weights, hot-tub and sauna.

You use DW as well? Also I'm actually looking for a decent turbo have you got any recommendations?

Not bad although I was under the impression it wouldn't be changing at all.

No mate, Health + Racquet. Tarckx (sp?) are quite good or Elite. Depends how much you want to spend. I actually prefer the rollers because they improve your pedalling, top-end speed and are good for the abs, but they take a lot of concentration to keep maintaining your balance and co-ordination sometimes which can be a bit wearisome.

I got the same email. I was going to continue at the higher price anyway so i'm happy enough with £13.99.
