Maybe i'm reading that wrong but it seems to me as if the Borini money was almost the whole pot and a big chunk of it then went on Rodwell.....therefore Borini on loan and no move for Welbeck.

at least one... roberge gets an A for effort, but at the end of the day, he is positionally suspect at times - no question.

That said, he's looked better than last year, so maybe he's capable of adjusting to the league and needs a bit more time to settle proper?? (wishful thinking I know, but I wasn't expecting anything from him this year (let alone for him to get playing time) and thought he'd be off... he's been better than expected, so there's hope... still may not be good enough regardless, howev...)
 
We will defo be using up our loan allocation so that at least two new signings i would expect next week. We will be waiting for the top clubs to sort out their squads then seeing who is available to loan i would imagine. Would love to see us try for Holtby
 
We should keep a direct line open to MUFC, MCFC, THFC, AFC and CFC and let it be known that we are ready and waiting to find a good home for fringe players once they've established their squads. We should spend all of our remaining time negotiating a permanent transfer for a young, promising centre half to learn the ropes over the next year. Other than leaving the Borini deal on the table and keeping a weather eye on any late breaking opportunities, that's pretty much what we need to do in the remainder of the window.
