There is no process. Once you've taken a photo and tried to sell it by any means it's copyright to you until 70 years after your death unless you've agreed to give that right to someone else

Thanks marra, I took some pics on holiday of the sky and a guy from a magazine said I should sell them as they were amazing. Scary thing was they were on my galaxy tab. He said it doesnt matter, the quality and image were brilliantand it's often just right place at right time in photography.

Hoy them up then?

Did you have some incredibly rare clouds or summat? Not a huge market for sky photography out there!

Copyright is easy, you automatically have that by default on any photo you take. Enforcing copyright is a bit harder as if its a good photo, people WILL copy it and then you have to go chasing after them.

The hardest bit of all will be the selling.

Photos of the sky will have to be something really special if you expect to sell them!

Yes! But that's just my opinion. I guess since photography is an art it's about the individual and how each person views it. I've never seen anything like it in my lifetime but I'm just a young 50 year old.

Which magazine is the guy from? You should take his money asap

He works for ips, iag, I something. He didnt offer me moneybut said I should contact them. Lol wish I wrote it down now. Hey ho.

IPC ? they are a big magazine group
Publishers of Amateur Photographer, might be a few other photo magazines

These days these people have thousands of amateurs falling over themselves to give them free stuff. I'd be surprised if they pay for a single photo they publish, unless they do an article on a very big name
