The SMB has lost many of the massive characters that made it great.

Some, like Blep and Laputi@n have left the earthly plane.

Others, such as My Boy Harry, BiG, Jarra Wanderer, Garydon, stubber and Wheatley Hills East Durham have either outgrown the place or moved on.

And others like Cockney Mackem, Porrohman, Corvus and Nemo (the SMB's first elected mayor) and wtdog only pop up intermittently.

We used to have some cracking witty Mags like Paully and sima, but these days they tend to be shitty puerile WUMs. We even had one or two decent Smoggy posters.

In short, the new generation of SMBer is a disappointment, and needs to up their game. I blame the Academy.
 
Well said. Time for skinflint Roger to put his hand in his pocket and get some signings in from koptalk.com who can't make the first page.
