Cat brought the biggest moth i've ever seen in a week or two back.I reckon it was about two inches across and up and down.Browny thing.I took it off the cat and put it on my back fence.Saw it later flying into a bush.

Two and three quarter inches, just checked.Massive.

That could well be a baby marra, wait till the parents pay you a visit!

if you see one eating your clothes just shout hahahaha i licked that ! i licked them all! you f***ing scratters

Never really been bothered by them because I've only ever seen little ones in the house, but in the last few weeks I've came across four f***ing huge ones, 3 of them in our lasses house. Never seen any this size before (bodies about an inch long, wingspan probably about the same, maybes a bit more). Is it the time of year for them to be about or something?

I don't think this means what you think it means

Least I certainly hope it doesn't

Atlas Moth?

No.

There appear to be two different types with both being about the same size (although I've seen smaller instances of both).

One has a translucent covering to the wings so it is possible to clearly see the ribs between the top and bottom surfaces and one does not.

Both have "Delta" type wings and forked tails with one having taupe "camouflage" patches and the other bright yellow on dark grey/black bodies (wings are also plain in either dark grey or black).

Clearwing Moth?
They come in differing colour patterns

I am terrified of moths!! From the little to the f***ing massive!!

I'm too scared to kill them aswell so I just wait til they fly into a particular room of my house, close the door, and stay out for about 3 days hoping it's died!

Bollocks are they harmless. They cast shadows when you're trying to watch the telly. And they eat ya clobber.

Hang on so you'll not visit Thailand due to moths, when Thailand is home to these:

How? How can anyone be scared of moths? This really bothers me as every lass seems to be shit scared of moths.

They're harmless as fuck, they're basically retarded butterflies that just bounce off your walls and hit themselves off lightbulbs.

Spiders on the other hand, maliciously and deviously conduct their business.

No marra.

Both as I said have swept back "Delta" type wings that appear to start about 50m/75m behind the head and solid black/grey colouring (body and wings) apart from the taupe or yellow body markings which are not rings but "wavy" - think of a Lancaster bomber fuselage camouflage and you'll start to get the picture.

They flap about furiously and always head straight for my face! They look horrible and they freak me out! They can fuck right off!
