Presumably South North will of paid quite a bit of money for them to host the game.I saw that disabled members got free transport to the match. No idea how they'd fit an electric wheelchair on a bus like, but that's their problem.
Did Durham actually make anything from this game?
Marty Emmerson is stating it was a massive success on his twitter feed. Apparently had a huge corporate hospitality event which took up one end of the ground, i would imagine that would be using the indoor cricket school there, if that was a decent money earner they will be back.

That's all they were bothered about, yet at home county games in county durham, the executive boxes are largely empty as well as the new hospitality area they built next door to the players dressing room balcony. Majority of the members weren't happy about it. The seat hire charge was cheeky and the disabled members free transport was never advertised.
£15 entrance for a general public member then faced with possibly having to pay for a seat if they don't fancy sitting on the limited wooden benches.
Glad we won but I hope that's the last of playing in Northumberland.
The second team are playing there next week.
Yeah there was something telling people about a seat hire. Told people to take there own as well. Was there any announcement in advance about the seat hire. I think DCCC website advised people to take their own but I don't recall mention that there would be a charge at the ground. I would imagine there would have been a few non-members who paid £15 at the gate then another £5 for a chair would not have been happy.

So I'm guessing they charged people for bringing there own then? Which is a bit shocking.
Well pretty sneaky thenbringing your own was free but the club were issuing seats at a cost of £5 and you got £2 back if you returned it. £4 for the bus up to the ground, on top of your membership or ticket price for the day which was £15 for an adult.
Well, it was a win - unfortunately I was having a fantastic night at a Mostly Autumn gig at Balham so was unable to follow the game. Obviously playing in Northumberland with all its drawbacks, but we ended up bringing Warwicks 100% record as well as our own to an end. Hoorah!
Wasn't it a 100% loss record that we had up until yesterday? I'll have a half, after all it's International Beer Day today - hooray!always half full with you man, we had a 0% record and you know it
