A friend of mine just got some PhD CLA (Conjugated linoleic acids), seems promising from what I've read, nonetheless, has anyone used this or can anyone reccommend any other good weight loss supplement to be used in conjunction with a good diet/training, in order to get ripped abs/veins popping from abdomen etc?

CLA doesn't seem to do anything to the degree where it would really be noticable (disclaimer: I only briefly looked at the research a few months back). Honestly, the only things that will REALLY help with that are t3, DNP etc. If, as I imagine you are, looking to stick to over the counter things, then some sort of caffeine/EC stack will be your best bet.

Side effects to T3 or DNP? Is DNP the one that in large doses has made people blind?

DNP - too much you die. You can take the dose in hospital and will still die; you're fucked.

It can and is used safety all of the time, but the propensity for dieters to think 'more is better' or that they're invincible inevitably leads to either horrendous sweating or death if they go that far

Dnp ilegal I take?

Just googling dnp brings up some nasty stuff! Sounds like too much and your gonna be cooked from the inside out. Bit extreme for losing a bit fat surely!

That's essentially what happens, yeah

It is extreme, but people are willing to do extreme things. Look at the transformations of Hollywood actors, an example that is often overlooked.

I'd never touch it. Mostly because there's no way I'd want to be sweating all day. It's been incredibly hot and humid down here where I live to start with.

Quick search of DNP immediately put me off, mate. Hah. Yea, I'm trying to keep it 'legal'.

I was also flirting with the idea of just getting a bunch of legal pro-hormones, which would also aid recovery, build some muscle and blast some fat off, but I don't fancy dealing with the anger issues.

May as well inject testosterone if you want pro hormones.

I would, but like I said, too much hassle with the baldness, anger-management issues, everyone thinking you're kind of a dick, getting banned from your sport, buying the PCT mate.

All of this is outweighed by the sick gainz, surely?

Was reading an article in Time magazine about Testosterone therapy for ageing men. Seems like there's a lot of conflicting evidence on how much it actually mitigates the effect of ageing and whether or not it can lead to heart problems.

I've read innumerable cycling books which talk about forms of testosterone therapy. Quite common in the peloton, back in the day. I can't comment on how it impacts the ageing process, although there weren't too many geriatric looking cyclists in the 90's, and I can't recall anyone dying of heart problems. A couple of overdoses, a pulmonary embolism, but these people were taking literally everything they could get their hands on, so there is nothing to directly implicate test. Certainly helps make you go fast though.

I think you'd get more of those issues from pro hormones tbh mate, some of them are ridiculous.

Ive decided to have green tea

My lass gave me green tea last week, I downed it going out the door for work and felt sick all morning. Either my body is totally rejecting it or it has some kind of effect

I'm just about to start my second lot of "Animal Cuts". They were reccomended by a lad who i work with whose one of these modern gym loving 'ripped' lads, so i wasnt sure about them, but i stripped a stone in three weeks the first time i took them and i didnt properly commit to a full diet and couldn't make it to the gym at all (medical problems with some thing sensative!!:confused::confused:)

The only draw back i found was that (as expected) i felt the need to drink roughly 6 litres of water a day, and obviously, never stopped pissing.

Green tea is pretty rank like, but loads of guys swear by it. I changed drinking nproper tea for it about a year ago, i just chuck some squash in it and drink it like pop.

Thermobol worked in a sense that the caffeine kept me awake/gave me the shits when I was taking it.

Now you're talking. I really have to strip some weight off. I've started cycling again, and the extra weight gained over the past couple of years is causing me to decelerate on the climbs. Any strength losses or bad side effects though?

If anything mate, i find that the caffine tab gives you a decent boost before you exercise. Side effects wise, i felt a bit 'weird' for the first couple of days, and a little bit sickly, but i put that down to not realising how much water i needed to drink. (as i said, about 6/8 litres a day) But that was only for maybe 2 days tops.

I'm sitting with a lad who is in the middle of a course now, and he says he didnt have any side effects at all. In fact, he's saying over my shoulder that he's two weeks in, and considering stopping because he's cut so much that he doesnt need to go any further.

Me, i'm still a bit of a porker, and have just got back from holiday so i'm using them for direct weight loss and have started my second course this morning. For me they work great, and appear to be the best of the natural produtcs available by a fair margin. Below is a link to the review page on amazon, and i think most of the reviews are pretty positive, and from guys who ave a much better insight into all this than me.

Like i said, i've started a course this morning wich will be accompanied by a proper diet, loads of exercise (cv and weights), and a shit-tonne of water. I'll let you kow where things lie in three weeks! Good luck.
