Aye you get tested on stuff like eco friendly driving now

I can just imagine someone pulling out in front of me or someone going in the wrong lane on the roundabout (happened to me yesterday) causing me to fuck it up

Took mine from the test centre at the bottom of Osborne Road in Jesmond, did my emergency stop on Jesmond Dene Road, my three point turn in a road in High West Jesmond (which was almost as wide as the Great North Road) and when close to getting back to the test centre was told to stop using my arm signal and wind the window up!

mine was rushing to get back to get a couple of pre match pints in. both in the same boat, it was great. did plainsy, silky back through ryhope and done.
 
If you fail 4 times you should be banned for life as far as I am concerned. Some people don't have the necessary motor skills to control a ton + of metal. Wouldn't mak much difference like, half of drivers are unlicensed/uninsured/un-MOT'd (guess, probably more)

not really if you stuck in traffic - not much driving to be done
 
Me and my lass (no) both passed first time in our late 20's-we're both pretty shite drivers :lol: (I tend to lose my head driving when people piss me off, she's very hesitant, drives in the middle of the road, never checks her mirrors and spends half the time changing the radio instead of paying attention to what she's doing.)

My mate passed the 2nd time with no minors, the instructor had to slam the breaks on in his first test when he had a brain fart at a roundabout and nearly just drove into the traffic.

My lasses mate (wad) wrote the instructors car off in hers :lol:
 
Got mine booked in like.

Lasts for 40-45 mins, apparently a lot harder now than it was just a few years ago.

Only thing you can't account for is arseholes doing stupid things on the road. Amazing what seeing a learner car provokes some people in to doing
 
Had mine at 3.40 on 20th December, black eyed Friday. Couldn't read the number plate at the start. Still passed like

Well let's face it - that's the conditions you will be driving in, and being under pressure of a test might make you become an arsehole and make a mistake too, that's what its all about really, being up to the required standard....... like me :lol: (allegedly)

It's cos they tell you to be careful with the clicks but I found myself clicking all the time.

Also, when are you meant to actually click? It doesn't say. Click when you see a car approaching a junction? Or when it's stopped at a junction or both?

It's f***ing shite and I'm sure I read somewhere that the main reason people fail the theory is because of the hazard perception
 
Tip. Have the mirrors set so you have to make exaggerated head movements to check. If not the teat will have you for not checking them.
 
I got done for hesitating coming out of a junction.

I didn't pull out because there was a car coming the stupid koont. How can you be marked down for being too cautious?!

I'm positive thy get told to make shit up
