Today, EA revealed EA Access, an Xbox One-exclusive subscription service that grants players access to EA's so-called Vault.

Subscribing to EA Access will cost $4.99 a month (or $29.99 a year), and since the program is technically in beta, only four games will initially be available:FIFA 14,Madden NFL 25,Peggle 2, andBattlefield 4, "with more titles being added soon."

That looks brilliant to me! I own fifa 14 and Battlefield 4 anyway but when fifa 15 and Battlefield 5 come out then its something I would buy a subscription for.
 
sounds great in theory although imagine you'll have to wait x amount of months before new titles become available

so like playstation plus depends how much MS has paid EA how long you wait . i like a few was thinking instant access on day 1 but that would cripple there sales (ok you need a xbox 1) but I can wait on free games on playstation plus so its hmmmmmmmm will wait before diving in.
 
Might give it a bash when it becomes available. There's only really Fifa that I'd buy yearly, but things like madden and NBA live and that I wouldn't mind a go of, but don't really want to pay much for them and I wouldn't really be bothered about having the most up to date version
 
this is like an episode of the simpsons where everything is wrapped up 30 seconds early and they stand around not knowing what to do

EA are supposed to be evil..they cannot possibly be offering something thats good value?!

everybody is expecting a catch..perhaps for every account created a kitten is fed to an alligator somewhere?
 
It's EA.

Quite why MS would want to fragment their own subscription system is beyond me as well.

And then there's the fact that once those bastards have their foot in your online door, it's DLC, microtransactions, and you have to have a subscription to play online EA games on top of your XBox subscription.

I don't like this one bit.

I can't see what MS are going to get out of this at all.
 
If it was for access and to have to the new games straight away like FIFA 15 , madden15 etc then it would be a bargain and even worth more than the current price of it.

But if it's for access to just a few games that will be almost a year old then it's not worth it unless you don't already have the games and want to play all of em.

This idea has potential if they went about it the right way.

I've got a code to try this ea access early so will hopefully have a go tomorrow.

I thought the beta would have been to have a trial of it , however once I installed it it was asking me to pay for a subscription. No point me getting it yet as I've got 3 of the 4 games you can currently play on it.

Shame it didn't tell you that as I would have gave someone else the code to use who would have wanted it.
