Programme about them on National Geographic +1 now.

What a bunch of utter knackers. I never ease to be surprised at the stupidity and ignorance of people. Whites are a minority and everyone else is mating with whites to wipe out the race!

Dozy f***ing redneck inbred jizz bags...there should be a worldwide cull of these fucktards.

Wow, hypocrite. You are the f***ing knacker.

Ermmm... Doesnt that last statement make you the same as KKK, just about rednecks instead of black people?

Explain?

The clip I watched had rednecks on (granted that may not be the most PC name to call them), their arrogance in boasting about using violence and trying to create a violent uprising means they are fair game for any abuse imo.

Do you not think that's part of the problem, it's all one way traffic. A white can't call a black but it seems like a free for all the other way round?

I remember when I lived in Ipswich, there was a club called the Carribean Club, if a white person tried to go in they'd be barred straightaway. Nothing was done or said but can you imagine it being the other way around?

Think it's be a bit too complicated to say racism is racism.

It's harder to say it's all equal when one side is getting a much rougher deal than the other. This doesn't make it right but in the example you give, the Caribbean Club will have had that attitude in response to years of black people being excluded from everywhere else.

The answer is to work on sorting out the differences and problems in society - for everyone, not just for one side, and removing the excuses for bigotry. This sort of thing takes time because attitudes don't change overnight. But eventually it becomes inescapable that people have to look at themselves and ask why they hold attitudes that they see as wrong when they're on the receiving end.

Good post mate, apart from the Caribbean Club bit...Ipswich isn't exactly a hot bed of apartheid so not sure why the divide in this particular club.

No doubt a policy set by an older black guy with a long memory. The others go along with it because people have a tendency to get all divisive when someone tells them this is our place and no one else's. That's why we have a problem in the first place

Do you get much of this type of thing down your way? You'd like to think that in areas of high mixed population people would be more tolerant but I guess there's a flip side that where you have a higher population your more likely to get factions forming.

You do get some. Mostly in the shithole areas. It seems like the more grim a place is, the more some fuckwit wants exclusive rights to it

Aye? Pretty much the same thing was it? One thing that always got me was the fashion sense of the young lads gong into these places...full on basketball strips, pulled up socks, shorts, vests the works...on a Saturday night as well. Each to their own and that but @mini-x2 would have a field day.

I quite like the idea of opting out of society and ignoring all the crap like that.

read a book about the KKK when I was around 13, thought they were horrible (unts then, still think that now ;)

I thought that a KKK thread would be fairly cut and dry in universal condemnation but you've managed to create some ambiguity.

Malcolm X was a massive racist for a long time but changed his viewpoint in his later years.
Now...onto Muhammad Ali. Spoke at a Klan rally, dontcha know. ;)
