Bizzare why he has been picked IMO, don't want to keep repeating myself, but Stokes was our best bowler at Lords, dropped because he didn't make runs at 8, very very strange
 
Can anyone answer me this - where do all the bowlers' pace go when they turn out for england? these guys get into the side of the back of bowling into the 90s and then suddenly they all become 85mph? other than stokes again

Broad was clicking 90+ on 4 deliveries like. The rest 85-90.

I'm sure the speed guns vary on accuracy, and can be used to make bowlers seem faster than they are.

For example, Woakes' first delivery came out at 85.6mph apparently. I don't believe that for a second.

aye probably just that. just seems to happen alot with these young quicks coming in then bowling military medium. tremlett and co in australia a prime example.
 
We're not going for it enough with the bat given how average our attack is. Obviously got a good total but the pitch is decent and for the middle session we were down to about 2.5 an over at 350+ For 3 or 4 against toothless bowling. If that isn't a good time for aggressive batting I don't know when is.

Yeah, probably shouldve gone for their shots a bit earlier. Perhaps even straight after Lunch.

Set up nicely for us though, should be able to put plenty of pressure on tomorrow and Wednesday. I just worry that they'll begin to bowl short and wide if wickets don't fall and make the pitch look flatter than it is.

Absolutely criminal how short Broad bowled with the new ball. He's been dreadful in this series and you'd hope he'd know better than to keep dropping the ball short. Vijay will leave him all day and never be in any bother.
 
Good job Broad got those two wickets, couldn't see Woakes, Jordan and Ali getting 10 wickets never mind 20 in three days.
 
Ehh that was out ya bugger! Again, f***ing DRS would have called it correctly! Would love to see how the scores would have balanced out so far this series if DRS was being used
