Yep. It's a bit annoying that it's the only reason they changed their mind. It was only a few month ago they were saying they had no plans to do it in the near future and it was pointless cos 3D never really took off.
 
All i can say is they must have had the update planned in advance for such a quick turnaround.

Either that or they already had the feature finished but left it out on purpose.

In all fairness, releasing a "Frozen" themed PS4 in Japan that couldn't play Frozen 3D would have been pretty embarrassing... ;)

I had no idea about that. As if releasing a console with snowflakes and animated characters painted on wasn't embarrassing enough though...
