How Long Am I Banned For pt II

You say in a previous thread that members will "acquire warning points" dependent upon the severity of this transgression.

Can I ask where these warning points are displayed (to the member) and where are the list of transgressions/points = ban length for members to see and be aware of ?

I did contact you before when I was banned as you said I had been given a number of previous warnings (for posting sexy pictures) and I told you I had been given no such warnings, I hadn't, how will any member know to curtail their transgressions/behaviour if these warnings are not actually given/displayed to the member via email/PM ?

Especially if like me you had no idea that you were breaking any rules, sexy pictures in Parsnip I figured was fine, everyone does it (and still do) but I got banned for it and may I also say there was no "meat" on display in any of my pictures, I'm at a loss to explain why I got banned but others weren't for exactly the same behaviour.
 


I agree with this.

Reasons and lengths should always be given. If you dont know what you are banned for then you won't learn from it.

Whenever I've been banned I've never been given a length either and it takes the piss

For me I think it's more about apparently getting warned before your ban but you don't actually receive these warnings (did you get a warning @Bishop Mackem ?) they just sit there unknown on your account totting up waiting to accumulate into a ban and you'll never know if what you're doing is a warning/banning offense until it's too late**.
I'm also a bit peeved that there appears to be no discussion/understanding of a problem from admin, or at least an admission that the forum software is poor on this issue, or that there is in fact an issue !

**on those issues where it appears to be down to mod/admin (inconsistent) discretion, rather than the more clear cut gross misconduct type violations.

Nope no warnings what so ever, didn't know what I was banned for unto ab22 told me reasons why I got warnings after I came back from a ban and asked him.

Turned out it was for posting scantily clad women on the smb forum. If I knew I was getting warning points for it id have stopped doing it before I was banned!

Same here, how the hell are we supposed to know we've been warned if the forum software doesn't warn you when it should. Do admin even know that it doesn't actually notify the members about their warnings?

I'd certainly appreciate some clarification on the matter admin.
