No I don't mean January (which is already in the gallery), I mean February, which you won with a window lit portrait of your wife (?) - the photo isn't showing but you did win.

@Roger any ideas why I can't upload?

I'm going to 'add photo' in the gallery. Searching my computer, selecting the file. It loads up to 100% then the image appears as a small thumbnail and asks for a name and description. I'm then clicking 'save' but the page is in a continual stage of loading, i even left it for 20 minutes or so. Tried a few times. The image is 4.1mb.

Could always get TE to replace it with an 'improved' version ;)

This place is a dozen mates with semi-pro gear/pro gear, competing with each other, I think the rest of the forum amateurs gave up when all the winners came exclusively from the same dozen members over and over again because they managed to brilliantly capture the purple of some beach, purple ffs, anyway I dunno why you're so obsessed with me but here's some of the shots I entered.

I have/had a simple point and shoot camera, C&C welcome :lol:

  • nearly everybody has given up TE - hence the closing of the comp.
  • I'm still in it but I'm mates with nobody - (peachbillynomatesbum)
  • I only have a compact - hardly semi-pro or better!
  • I agree re the purple beach etc
  • No-one is obsessed with you
  • even if "This place is a dozen mates with semi-pro gear/pro gear, competing with each other" was true it wouldn't be the end of the world?
 
Doesn't matter what gear you have, it's the person using it that counts. I've seen some shit images from people using so called pro/semi pro gear.

I haven't got pro gear, just an ancient mid range DSLR I use for astronomy shots and a micro 4/3 camera I bought for under 200 notes second hand.

I agree with some of your points, but don't know why you can't make it without being an arse.

pretty much all of this. On the point about purple beaches, I've never seen any weird coloured shot win acclaim let alone a monthly competition.
 
Most competition winners have been down to good photography rather than good processing, so I don't really agree te. Yeah there were a few when the board first started but I think it's become less if anything. And I've always sympathised with your anti processing approach

I have always enjoyed your input but it's too much of a wind up just now
