Never read too much about the man, so don't know how accurate it was but the film is excellent. Seemed like a remarkable man and strong character.

Watched the film a couple of weeks ago on Netflix, don't know much about him but I feel sorry for the time he had to do in prison for something he didn't do. R.I.P Hurricane.

A Dylan verse from 'hurricane' which stuck with me;

"Now all the criminals and their coats and their ties,
are free to drink martini's and watch the sun rise
while Ruben sits like Buddha in a ten foot cell,
an innocent man in a living hell."

R.I.P. Ruben Carter

i dont for 1 minute think Ruben was a 100% mr nice guy as he lived in a time when being black was still a crime in itself and being such had to duck and dive (so to speak for a living) and im sure he done his fair share off (petty (ish) crime) but the work he done after coming out of prison more than made up for any petty crime he did commit added to the fact he was innocent which again although scandalous reflected the time he lived in sadly- i for one will raise a glass to Ruben ''hurricane''Carter tonight
rip
