I'm not fussed either way really. Clearly he will be a better coach than he was last time around. I'm far more excited about Farbrace being given the the assistants job.

What's he done like? Never heard of him tbh until the T20 WC.

Been assistant to that Bayliss, very highly regarded wherever he goes, 17 wins out 18 for sri lanka

Sounds like he might have a big say in decisions.

I think out of the 'coaches' Peter Moore is the best choice, it is pity we don't have an ex-player who could step in, I would love to see Nasser in there.

My only worry is he is the same school of thought as Flower, it shouldn't be forgotten that flower is a world class coach who has deliver phenomenal success, but at the minute the y currently need a fresh approach.

I guess he will of learnt from last time like, think he will do OK to be honest.

Just seen the press conference with Downtown sat between Moore's and Cook. When Downtown said he was sitting between (words to the effect of) "exciting future of English cricket" - my heart sank. Cook also talked about "places being up for grabs" (what about yours Alistair ?).

Downtown referred to Pieterson situation he mentioned chats with "established players" He may as well have used the expression "Establishment"

Its going to be a return to the line-toeing, weak willed set up we have laboured under for years, lads,

SR5 will be happy!

Should have broken the bank for Kirsten.
Wonderful news.Kirsten had stated he wants to remain in S.Africa so he could not be committed to job so forget about him.Like footy time for an Englishman to be in control of coaching affairs.

moores out. cannot believe this has happened. a return to watching him writing constantly on a note pad, oblivious to the game going on.
