Mannone, Cattermole and Bardsley

Can't believe anyone would think Mannone is poor cos of tonight, he has been quality all season and i can't think of any goalkeepers that don't make 2 or 3 mistakes over the course of a season. When 'keepers make a mistake it gets highlighted cos it results in a goal 90% of the time.

Spot on. It's the one position where any mistake means goal.
He looked devastated after it. At least I think he cares.
Catts had one of his poorer games tonight but he will only be remembered for the cock up. Still he can never be accused of hiding.
Everyone will forget the chances missed or Borini being greedy when a pass was needed.
All our players make mistakes purely because we have a lack of quality. Tonight though they all showed some balls as well.
At least tonight the SMB can't blame lack of effort.

Good grief.

Mannone "shit since the cup final".

Error today, but he didn't do a lot wrong. We gave their lot far too much time and space as the ball came out and the shot was hit spinning straight through the penalty area. I thought it was in anyway.
Mannone reacted and got a foot behind it, the spin on the ball kept it going. He tried to adjust to claw it out but his leg was still under him from the reaction save and he couldn't get himself over.

Some right fannies on here.

Mannone makes up for tonight with the 3 points he won us on boxing day against Everton.

Catts was great I thought, error aside.

We have found the 0.2% of SAFC fans who thought Catts was 'great' tonight.

He was truly horrendous. Yes, he ran around and hustled, but ffs, his mistake cost yet another goal, and made literally a dozen misplaced passes.

Opinion only, mistake aside, I thought he made several decent passing contributions, and his pressure in the middle meant that Fernandinho (goal aside) was very quiet. A lot of what makes him a good player goes unnoticed.

Exactly. He was spraying some good passes around and for the mistake that led to the first goal, he was given a bad ball under pressure. Should have dealt better with it, but hes not 100% to blame there. Helped keep their super expensive midfield quiet and kept us going, along with Larsson who I thought had a great game and Colback who was much improved over his recent games.

Welcomes to RTG mate. Your balanced opinion isn't worth shit here.
Calling a goalkeeper 'quality' when he's been no such thing is not a balanced opinion.

He was solid at best up until the cup final, and poor since then. Aside from Everton away I can't remember too many times he's actually won us points, maybe we've been spoiled by the likes of Mignolet and Gordon in the past but he just seems very average to me.

So far the blames been put on mannone who let a clanger in, but pulls off cracking saves week in and week out.
Bardsley even though he wasnt playing? How about o shae for missing sitters, surprised no ones blamed altidore yet!
What about blaming Darren Bent for deserting us, its a while since he got stick.
The facts are that the team as a whole has to take responsibility for the mess were in and when we get rid of most of these fools theres always a surprise or two.
Tonight Connor took his goals well abd thats what weve missed all season, ive never been his biggest fan but he will shine next season with support around him.

They represent the poison infecting this club. The sooner the likes of these three are weeded out of the club the better.
