37.05 for me. Aye that wind was tough like. Enjoyed the course though, good mix of terrain, couple of hills. You running North Tyneside 10k next week? I'm undecided . . could probably do with a week off[DOUBLEPOST=1397403596][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well done mate, good effort that. Give yourself a few lazy days
Not signed up yet, but want to do it, I'm out on the Friday after the relays, won't be recovered in time. Done it in 44:30, I think I could get close to 40.

14th, nice one. Strong field like.

good documentary here with james cracknell (17 stone, 6 ft 4 so not a great shape for ultra running) trying to get a good time in the marathon des sables.

10k sunday again just a doddle around and no ankle pains, been out today did 3 x 800m and 2 x 400m efforts, with a few 400m slows inbetween, its not much compared to usual but its a start again and im feeling positive(so just waiting for a re-occurrence of ankle).

Is there many off here doing the North Tyneside 10k Sunday. It will be my first time on this course, is it a fast one?

its really steep down hill start so its a flying first mile. Then there a steep bank up off the prom towards the priory ruins. Once you get onto the top roads its flat as a pancake from that point on. It would be nasty with a headwind mind.

7.5 mile on my own tonight in just under 46 mins, at 6:10 pace. Held the pace even the whole way. Legs feeling pretty strong at the moment over 5-10 mile distances, now need to convert it into long runs too.

Third sports massage today, think im getting used to the pain

I had these for a few month and never got used to the pain, im sure the people who massage on sports massages are ex special forces our something and just know how to naturally inflict pain, and enjoy doing it.

Made of money are we? ;)

I've only had one of these when I lived abroad which was $100 - a parlor filled with gorgeous young women and I managed to pick up the absolute beast. She took me to the cleaners to be honest.

Brisk 5k tonight before 10k again tomorrow

Done a canny 10 miles last night in the sun in 1 hour 21. Happy with that considering i struggled after giving blood last week

One more after the sunderland 10k and then it will be every six weeks or so. She is fit, like, but as I tell the wife it's all about getting my legs in shape.

Did a good 9 miler last night. 1h10 really pleased with that like. Some mega hills and managed a good 7m45 average. Really strong finish to it as well, sub 7.30 for miles 8 & 9. Keep this up and I'm on for a sub 1.40 GNR :)

I'm going to running club tonight if you fancy it.

Anyone ran in a weighted vest before?

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=131164515444

Thinking about getting something like this.

that's the pace I trained at last year and did 131 in the gnr so sub 140 should be no problem.

Achilles flared up again, just as I was getting back into it, physio has said its 85% recovered but just wont seem to heal fully.
Recommended now that I see a doc for a scan and an injection, if go down that route will mean few days on crutches and no running 3 months !! sick as...

7 mile managed today, again keeping the pace out of it and felt ok, ive had my Achilles scaned fletch in the past and told it curves and is not straight like it should be but they never offered me anything to fix it mind no op our anything

I feel for you, March last year I had a bad calf strain, no running for 2 months had physio/ultra sonic treatment and then 1 month gentle back into it, I'm always worried it'll pop again, try to concentrated on something else, I got my bike out and rode, also started stronglifts 5x5.
