Best looking game ever?

It looks very good, game is decent enough.

I feel we're getting diminishing returns now with graphics and the industries obsession with looks is often to the detriment of the overall quality.
That happened when DirectX 9 was released. After that graphical fidelity increases that were very noticeably increasing year on year became smaller. Although graphics have got better over the years, animation has not followed with the same level of realism. You'll have some really good looking screenshots that look semi-photorealistic, but as soon as they are moving they look like a cartoon. The new lighting models that are just coming through look great too like VXGI and competitors. For which the new tomb raider you mentioned includes one.

I can't help but feel photo realism is a shitty goal for games to be shooting for. Think about the cost of a games development now compared to 10 or 20 years ago. Photo realism isn't going to ease that issue, it will most likely just make the situation worse.

For the most part graphics aren't the reason we buy games.
