We finished runners up in 2014. I'd much rather have won like.

Unfortunately, a 2nd class completion these days....no comparison to finishing 2nd in the Premier League......

........love to do it again (for the 3rd time), but can't see it.

The ronnie gill can print the King Kev face masks again, and the horse punchers will wear special K cereal boxes on their heads and another geneartion of bairns called Keegan will grown up in Cramlington. What's not to like?

It was a good achievement for a club like Newcastle - the first time round you all were gutted though after being 12 points ahead, so it won't have seemed like a good achievement at the time. The second time around Newcastle secured 2nd place on the last day IIRC, but were miles behind Man U - even though it was a second place finish there was no title challenge that season.

Mind, we've finished top flight runners up 5 times, so if Newcastle do it three more times they will catch us up. The thing is, we don't like to mention finishing second, only our 6 1st place finishes count, in which incidentally you also lag behind us.

Met Keegan once when he played for them, really nice bloke he had a few beers with us despite his minders wanting him to leave.

Oh how they moan about cìty buying the league......

....they couldnt even do that...shearer was the worst thing they did. Lost direction...andy cole and gave him to much behind the scenes power.
What a guy

Can't believe people are saying Keegan didn't do a good job at Newcastle first time around as manager.
