How many times have we been turned down by players just not interested about leaving their club or preferring to go elsewhere. We have been too close to relegation these past couple of year to be a good proposition for many of our targets, time to change our outlook.

Lets not lower our bar and leave Congerton/Poyet to their job. Let them keep at it so we can stop buying dressed up shit that we inevitably have to replace anyway.
 
So last year we survived by the skin of our teeth and now you're wanting us to buy shitter ?..
 
We are being knocked back as we are trying to get to the next level. Its inevitable. Some will sign though
Remember when Fletcher & Johnson signed. It was August.
 
As i pointed out on another thread though it's not that easy. Say the three positions we want to strengthen are Left sided forward. CM and CB. How much would we have to pay to get better than these three......Giaccherini, Larsson and Brown or O'Shea. Italian international, Swedish international and two CB's who have won everything in the game. Welbeck, Rodwell and Richards would be improvements but 2 are injury prone, they would cost in excess of £30m and none would come here anyway.

We are going to have to get a bit lucky and a bit creative in the transfer mrket and build one hell of a team spirit if we are to thrive this season imo.

But did it? The media drip feed us speculative shit that may or may not come true. Most of the time its agents trying to generate interest or 3rd hand information from some guy who claims to be ITK. I would say 90% of transfer talk isn't true.

We may have enquired about Rodriguez 2 weeks ago and not bothered due to other targets but only the club backroom staff will know. I don't get caught up in this nonsense and while I read it, I do so knowing its entertaining rubbish. Don't worry about the transfers until they finally come off because it will usually end in disappointment.

The club are doing everything right so far and while nothing exciting has happened yet and we are moving slowly, I am not worried.
